Jonathan Banks (Big J The Frothy Main)
Jonathan Banks, also known as, “Frothy Main,” is an artist from Gainesville, FL. He prides himself on versatility and making music for all people. His life experiences have been a major role in his career and music journey.
What is your creative process when making music?
My creative process involves maintaining an atmosphere within myself where my creativity can thrive, I do this by constantly creating with the intent to execute, the meaning behind this is, no thought or experience is meaningless, and while I continuously build and learn from these thoughts, I find many of my processes move in and fill the void in other areas of my life using my experiences as therapy to translate into music.
What is some of your latest or upcoming project(s)?
“The Last Wanger,” is my latest project. The entire project is a melting pot of culture; with influences from soul, pop, reggae, and hip-pop. The Last Wanger, encapsulates and blends everything extraordinary about Alachua County’s modern music movement. My upcoming project is titled, "Alachua," that is set to be released in May of 2020. Alachua, is a county in the heart of Florida, where I am from. It features many artists that I have grown close with, that represented the message, culture, and vibe of the people. The songs that are on this Ep serves as the energy and mindset of the people who have found ways to overcome and see more than what's in front of them.
Who would you like to work with?
I would like to work with anyone that is true to themselves, serious about music culture, puts thought into the moves they make, and is passionate about what they share with the world. Overall, I would like to work with someone who is confident in what they do.
What message would you want your listeners to receive from your work?
I want my listeners to know that Jonathan " Frothy Main" Banks is someone that is growing with you, and just like you I am someone who has taken everything that has happened from my experiences to navigate through life beyond my circumstances and surroundings to be the best version of myself, so when you hear my life expression on audio remember that.
Have you faced adversity within your career? How do you handle that?
Everyone faces adversity in some form. I think the best solution for when it does arise, is to know that you can't always fix the situation but you can fix yourself.
Outside of music, what else can we expect from you?
You can expect me to move deeper into global arenas where digital business solutions and resources are needed to help economies. Helping our culture crossover into digital
assets and currency while posting content that inspires the mindstate of wealth that contributes to our personal growth.
When should we expect another masterpiece from you?
"The Mark Of A V.i.pper" album is set to be released in 2021.
