Sada Baby : The New Sound Of Detroit

Detroit has once again found its musical renaissance. The Midwestern powerhouse has found its footing as the city is producing new artists at light speed. Utilizing dark yet funky instrumentals, punchlines for days, and peek into the darker side of the game.Since 2017 the floodgates have opened. Bringing with it a new pool of talent such as Shitty Boyz, Baby Smoove, Icewear Vezzo, and Babyface Ray to say the least.

Sada Baby has been a name that has been bubbling in the city of Detroit since 2018 with his viral hit “Bloxk Party" which sits over 80 million views on YouTube

.Popular For his unique rhyme scheme, constant high energy, and outlandish dance moves, Sada has made his presence felt in the city.

Gaining his freedom out of what Sada would describe as an unjust deal, Sada has been on a tear, dropping at a clip of at least what it feels like a track a day. As it goes in the industry, when an artist releases such a mass body of work, the hope is that “the one” is amongst the pile and is able to take them to their next level. One of his latest works “Whole Lotta Choppas” might just be “the one”to do it.

As WLC was teared more than over a year ago back in may of 2019, The classic sample of Tag Team’s “Whoomp” has been the constant thing that gets you up and moving on this record.

Amassing over eight million views on YouTube alone and creating its own TikTok challenge, “Whole Lotta Choppas” has taken off for Sada Baby allowing for him to become one of the first underground artists to break through to mainstream success.

“They wanna see me do my dance/In these thousand-dollar pants/Don't disrespect me and my mans/Bang, whole lotta choppas on your ass” has made its rounds on a cast of social media networks like Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat.

As Sada elects for more of a funky upbeat instrumental, he meets it head on with his outlook of his gritty lifestyle in only the way he can. With standouts like “Let my white boy shoot on that thing, he Sam Dekker/Heard you used to chew on that thing, Hannibal Lecter/Have you poppin' all of them pills like Heath Ledger.” Sada is able to string together lines like very many can.

Since the song's initial  release back in August, Sada looks to be cashing in on his hard work and linking up with Nicki Minaj for a proper remix. Minaj taking this time to remind us of her desires and luzaries while also giving insight into her motherhood journey.

As this marks the biggest record in the young career of Sada Baby, his work ethic suggests that there will be more of these to come.”Whole Lotta Choppas” success comes off the heels of another record of note for Sada, as he accompanied fellow Detroiter, Big Sean, on his latest record Detroit 2
